Overtime Groups at Administration - Overtime Groups
Access: Roles assigned the Overtime - Change Group/Rule permission. The following roles are assigned this permission by default:
Facility Coordinator, Facility Administrator, Administrator 2, and Administrator roles.
You can set a default Overtime Group for a facility and for each department in the facility. If the employee's department does not have a default Overtime Group, then the Employee belongs to the default Facility Overtime Group.
Facility Scheduler has three types of overtime (premium) pay rules for employees.
- Threshold: If an employee exceeds the maximum (threshold) number of shift hours defined for a Period (Daily, Weekly, Biweekly) a highlight appears on the Shift(s)) in the Schedule that exceed the Threshold Rule, and
Y in the OT column (next to the Employee Name on the Schedule) opens a note that shows that the employee's schedule breaks the Threshold Rule.
- Daily Threshold Example: Daily Threshold = 8, 10, or 12 Hours a Day, starting at the defined Period Start Time.
- Weekly Threshold Example: Weekly Threshold = 40 Hours during the Week, starting at the defined Period Start Day. Biweekly Threshold = 80 during the 2-Week Period, starting at the defined Period Start Day.
- Consecutive: If an employee exceeds the defined number of consecutive days allowed for a Period (No Period, Seven Day Work Week, Pay Period, Schedule Period), a highlight appears on the Shift(s) in the Schedule that
exceed the Consecutive Rule, and Y in the OT column (next to the Employee Name on the Schedule) opens a note that shows the employee's schedule breaks the Consecutive Rule.
- Rest: If an employee does not have the minimum hours of rest between shifts, a highlight appears on the Shift(s) in the schedule that break the Rest Rule, and Y in the OT column (next to the Employee Name on the Schedule)
opens a note that shows that the employee's schedule breaks the Rest Rule.
The letter Y in the Employee's OT column appears for an Overtime Rule violation (Y = Overtime Rule violation). Click the Y to open a note that shows the Overtime Rule and the date(s) of the violation.
EXAMPLE: This OT note shows a violation of the Overtime Rule 4 Consecutive Days and shows each date when this violation occurred.
