Schedule: Viewing the Forecast Census

Authorized users can update the forecast census in two ways:

• Facilities that use the Volume Forecasting (VF) tool can update the forecast census directly from the VF tool, and then let Facility Scheduler import the Volume Forecast.
• Facilities that do not use VFN can update the forecast manually in Facility Scheduler.

 

Forecasting is completed 35 days prior to the schedule start and is then imported to the Facility Scheduler 28 days prior to the schedule start date.

If a Department chooses to begin scheduling prior to the Forecast Census import, the previous census targets are copied to the new schedule when the Planning phase begins. In this case, the correct forecast volume will be imported 28 days prior to the schedule start.

To view the Department Forecast Census:

1. Go to Schedule>Forecast Census.
2. The Edit Department Forecast Census screen displays for the current schedule period.
3. To navigate to previous or future schedule periods, use the gold Previous/Next arrows located at the top of the table.

A Forecast Census is entered for each Day/Date of the schedule and for each Summary Period.  Census targets imported from ISAS appear in bold text. Census targets that are entered manually appear in regular text.
